‘Alessia and Scott’s paths had actually crossed many times before: both grew up in New York; attended rival schools (Horace Mann and Fieldston); shared mutual friends; had even been at the same birthday party — yet hadn’t formally met. Then in 2022, everything changed.
The proposal came in 2023, on Thanksgiving, in Bal Harbour (where Alessia’s maternal grandmother lives). Scott took her to the beach before dinner and asked her to marry him.
The wedding took place in Stresa, on Lake Maggiore — a setting Vogue describes as magical, balancing natural beauty with authentic Italian craft and elegance.
From start to finish, the décor, style, and ambiance were curated so that every detail reflected that sense of timeless Italian sophistication mixed with personal touches.
Welcome Dinner: Alessia wore a Roberto Cavalli Haute Couture gown (2018) originally designed for Hailey Bieber at Cannes. It was adorned with glass crystals and embroidered clusters. She paired it with Rene Caovilla “Cleo” crystal sandals. Her under-garments and her “abito da camera” (chamber dress) were from the Galia Lahav x Fleur du Mal collection.
• Bridesmaids: They wore light-blue silk slip dresses by Skims.
• Wedding Dress: For the ceremony, Alessia selected the “Cavin” model by Netta BenShabu, custom-modified to bring her dream vision to life. The dress featured a dramatic, form-fitting silhouette, long train, layered tulle, hand-embroidered floral appliqués, and a refined glamorous sparkle. She emphasised that working with an emerging designer was important to her.’
